In writing this workbook, I wanted to focus on the
“hearty stuff” of life--the memories, advice, insights, and
values. In determining the true need for a book like this
for families, I focused on these questions.
• Do you want your kids to know the real you; the
person you are now who is in the trenches raising a
tiny person, tween, teen or young adult?
• Do you desire that future generations know your
name and something about you?
• Do you finally want to help to create that family tree
you have so longed for, by not just listing names on
a chart, but providing richness, new stories, and a
means to re-tell family favorites?
• Do you desire a “time capsule” for your family, to
capture the mood and spirit of your lives now, as
well as your feelings and love?
• Do you want to really talk to your child and explain
yourself now, to do everything possible to have a
