The Live-On Project

be the most important letters. The prompts and buzz
words will jog your thoughts to ease your creation of
letters, videos or recordings that can be shared with
family members. You may make notes on the lines
provided so you will remember to include those
            thoughts in your letters.

            Step 2. Gather Needed Materials

Do you have a song that describes you? A poem that
gets you weak in the knees? An author you love? A
favorite team or musician? Weaving a quote or
meaningful song verse into a letter will add depth to

your relationship with your loved ones and their
understanding of you. Sometimes, these lyrics can
serve as your voice when you cannot find your own
            words.

To incorporate outside references to create more
“layers” in your letter, simply add the quotes, lyrics or
additional information as you go. There are lots of
opportunities to be fun too. The best memories can be

heartwarming or quirky through their lightness.

            Step 3. Pass On Skills

If you have special skills, videotape yourself doing them.
Maybe you can do a cartwheel or tie a cherry stem
around your tongue. Be genuine and real. I think a
fabulous idea would be to videotape the preparing of
family recipes. I wish I had videos of my grandma
